Kursk attack to force Russia into peace talks: Ukraine

One of the top advisors of Ukrainian President Zelensky said this about the purpose of the attack by the Ukrainian troops entering the border regions of Russia.

Mykhailo Podoliak, the top adviser of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, opened his mouth about the intention of the Ukrainian troops to attack the Kursk region bordering Russia.

He said, one of the objectives of this attack is to force Russia to sit in a fair peace negotiation to end the war.

"Ukraine is not interested in occupying Russian territory," Podoliak said in a statement on social media. But if we talk about the possibility of negotiations… I emphasize the possibility… then we have to put Russia at the other end of the table.

"Ukraine is showing that it is capable of occupying Russian territory. And this will be a proven and effective way to pressure Russia to negotiate," he said.

"This attack by Ukraine will also influence Russian public opinion," Podoliak said, noting that Kursk is clearly showing how military tools are being used to engage Russia in a fair negotiation process.
